Jinnahs broadcast to the people of the United States of America on Pakistan, recorded in February,
1948, i.e. in his capacity as Governor General of Pakistan, makes it quite clear what the purpose of the country was.

The Constitution of Pakistan has yet to be framed by the Pakistan Constituent
Assembly. I do not know what the ultimate shape of this constitution is going to be,
but I am sure that it will be of a democratic type, embodying the essential principles
of Islam. Today, they are as applicable in actual life as they were 1,300 years ago.
Islam and its idealism have taught us democracy. It has taught equality of man,
justice and fairplay to everybody. We are the inheritors of these glorious traditions
and are fully alive to our responsibilities and obligations as framer of future
constitution of Pakistan. In any case, Pakistan is not going to be a theocratic State to
be ruled by priests with a divine mission.

A time has come for the entire humanity more particularly Pakistan to emphasize on the dignity of it's citizens than to shape it's population on the dictates and fatwas of the clergy or spending time on endless motivated discussions of the verses of age old scriptures. Those were the middle ages few blesses individuals said some good things and laid down certain norms for their blind or terrorizes followers. These sayings do not necessarily hold good in the changed times except for their use by vested interests. Pakistan must move forward in the modern world and revisit it's constitution and the islamic laws or the posterity shall never forgive them for lopsided Puritan approach that is indeed responsible for the sordid situation they are in.

There is no need to revisit Pakistan resolution or Constitution. Every Pakistani from top level to lowest level should strictly follow these two documents and all laws of the country. There should be no exemption for anyone. What is the use of writing beautiful things on paper and not to follow. Akhan, 75 years, retired, Canada.

I think there is no need to redraft the Pakistan Resolution. First of all we have to forget this sectarianism and religious extremism. Have to focus on education, health and justice. We have to follow all the Islamic laws because we get Pakistan by keeping in view our religion (ISLAM). Apart from all this, it’s very difficult to consider all the points on which we have to focus to save our country from the present situation but still we can try to do something to make this a reputable and Islamic country.

In short have to focus to make it an "ISLAMIC COUNTRY"

I love Pakistan and I proud to be a pakistani ,I believe that unjusticeness is a prominent problem in Pakistan and this is the only issue which has been categorized in different kind of visions and no one can deny from it logically, eliminating this intolerance issue can create a auspicious environment in Pakistan in all of its aspects. For example if you do not give justice to a anyone so he/she'll try to get his/her justice by any mean and it could be illegal because he/she has failed to get his/her rite ,so then the problems starting and making knots in a rope of our administration. So propogating this ideology would be better resolutive action for Pakistan on 23rd March 2012.
thanks

For prosperity of nation we need a such Pakistan which was envisioned by Qaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. In one of his speeches he said that "Pakistan is not going to be a theocratic state, which would be led by priests and with the divine mission of preaching. You may belong to any religion, and will be provided with complete autonomy of practicing it."
