@karachikhatmal: in 99 you broke my heart. but i was 16, and i learnt to love you again. i fear i am too old to love you again. why #pakcricket?

    Wow !

I am reading all these comments and non of them makes sense as all are responding through their emotions and no one say or has a clue to how to handle this mess.

The first thing that PCB should do is get a high profile sports lawyer, he or she should only reply to all questions no one else should be allowed to comment from Pakistan side as this how you deal with western media and allegations.

Finally from the same source if the allegations are not true then we The Pakistan Government and PCB will sue the the so called news paper and then you guys will start to see how things change right now they feel we are lame, weird and ignorant as to a point they are right read above and you can have pretty good idea.

My thoughts any way lets see.

  2. khan says:

i am from UK and i know how the media works over here and newspapers like that are not the ones we believe straight away. its clear that everyone knows that are bowlers are BETTER THAN many other bowlers. and to have that its a threat to ther countries and with the world cup coming up we know that our team will be a real threat and that is what most people cant take, and all people want is amir and asif out the way, becoz there better than the rest and clearly amir is so young and everyone knows that if he carry’s on then he will get better, so support ur team and god willing they will come out clean. how do u know that the newspaper didn’t give money to the guy to say all that after the match so that Pakistan look bad that is a possibility aswell. dont believe the media!!!

  3. Imran Bhat says:

It is really a shocking revelation but more pathetic is current running questionnaire on SAMA TV. That questionnaire asks participants whether Pakistani player actually involved in current Spot-Fixing scandal or it was international media’s conspiracy against Pakistani team.

  4. Rajendra Sanyal says:

A team in denial…like many of the comments on this episode on this website.
Let us face it : the team of heroes consists of captains and crooks caught on camera chewing cricket balls; guys in denial over bigamy; drug peddlers and addicts; match fixers ; turf and ball temperers et al ad nauseaum.
Feel sorry for the 18 yearold kid, though. Hope he survives…too young and naive to be damned.

  5. faisal says:

i think senior players involved should be banned for life (i include Asif as senior enough is enough Asif)and young players should be given light punishments so they will learn …..all this talk that they are just alligation is not acceptable, it pretty much clear that spot fixig was done..

  6. TariqKsami says:

When England was 102 for 7, suddenly the stakes and betting must have gone thru the roof.
And then it seems you feign your attack and allow England to get off the mat initially, but later once the batsmen have settled in the Pakistani attack was not able to stop them . We have seen this pattern of recovery more than once by the English and the Aussies. That is when the bookies make a killing. To counter this one may say that once Aamer and Asif have completed their initial 16 overs there is no juice left in their attack maybe they were fasting due to Ramadan , and the 3rd or the 4th bowler is not effective. Compared to dropping catches bowling a few no-balls may appear less noticeable.
My gut feeling is this is a sting operation and they may have fallen for it partly because they may not have been briefed or educated about what a dangerous world out there.
Oh how the mighty have fallen. Remember Azharuddin, Hanse Cronje and Saleem Malick. Sad but true.
Lets wait and see they are not guilty yet.

  7. Syed says:

I couldn’t be more agree with Youssuf Hashmi.

For those who belive that this is not true, should check the following url to find the turth

    http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/924391/The-three-balls-that-will-shake-world-of-cricket.html?OTC-RSS&ATTR=News

Any one who played cricket should be surpriced by the these NO BALLS as both are over food overstepped.

  8. chaudhary says:

We should support our team 100 percent. There is conspiracy behind it just to get rid of our shining stars like Amir and Asif. The conspirors should be banned and punished not players. We should feel proud and move forward with positive thinking.Selection should be on merit and also we should and work hard for betterment of sports and the country. Thank you and God bless you all.

  9. Jamshed azmi says:

Guys. Agree that we shouldn’t jump to conclusions but pls go see the videos of notw – the tabloid that setup this sting, and then hand to heart figure the odds (excuse) the pun of predicting three no balls correctly (two of which were so far out that the commentators were surprised. Lastly look at the body language and expressions of butt and Amir

  10. Zain Siddiqui says:

If the allegations are true (which I suspect they’re), we need to initiate a major overhaul of Pakistani cricket. We should begin by serving the named players life-bans.

  11. Khan Anwar says:

Well, I am asking myself , why I am not surprised a bit. When people see that what kind of team politics are playing by akmals, and shoiab group, one must think some thign very bad going on in the PCB and team. No wonder akmal senior stuck to the team regardless of his pathetic performance as both keeper and batsmen. He single handidly responsible for defeats of whole series (england(2006), (australia 2009), and this series. Also i am not surprised that umar akmal is the 7th player involved in this fiasco. He is just following his borther’s footstep. Both brothers are so evil that they destroy other’s player career by playing dirty politics and keep their space in the team despite their horrible peformances. Umar akma is failed through out the tour and yet he managed to make 79 runs by slogging all ober knowing pakistan already lost the match. we don’t need these kinds, I demand as a pakistani cricket fan, a life ban on these players, take over their wealth, throw them in prison for atleast 5 years so the new generation will learn the lesson and we pakistanis wont again bow our head in shame.

  12. Ehtesham says:

Property of all the player involved in match fixing should be confiscated and distributed to the flood victims.

Involved players should be made a horrible example for the World.

  13. Harris says:

Ok people, alot you are just posting bad things and most of you are Pakistanis. Before just believing whatever you are spoonfed, please realise and imagine if you were an honest sportsman playing for your country. If some ill intentioned people falsely accused you, you’d expect the people of your country to be the last people to turn against you. If your country wo/men are the first to go against you, how is that going to make you feel? Not very nice I would think. Which is why I plead people who lose their composure and post comments filled with hatred to reconsider and be fair. Wait for a just investigation before pointing fingers and disowning your heroes.

  14. Zain Siddiqui says:

Forget cricket, conspiracy theory involving the ‘West’ is a national sport in Pakistan- as indicative in most of the comments here. I’m so sick of this narrative of victimhood and a tendency to scapegoat the ‘West’ for our shortcomings.

  15. zubair Ahmad says:

    ASALAM-U-ALIKUM,
I am badly hurt with the news ,its hurts when we see the amir is also involved in these allegations, its mainly due to team manager & kamran & salman amir comes into this picture.punish all the guys but leave this boy when he took the man of the series it hurts way he takes the award ,he was rather shocked & disappointed after he came to know about the news……i am great fan of the great fast bowler.

  16. sidola says:

England were 102 for 7 and then world’s best bowling attack have to wait for another 330 runs to take next wicket. Swan took 9 wickets in 2 days, but Saeed, so called part of world’s best bowling attack could not help. What can you make out of this? Don’t blame media for bringing this out. if people think media is doing this to bring our team down, I don’t think it’s right because media brought this out today not on the second or third day od the test when we wre fielding.

  17. Truth says:

This is not happened first time. In Austrlia, Kamran fixed the match and he came back to the team. People who brought him back and support him are also involved in match fixing.

Per Juctice Qyaum report, Inzimam, Saeed Anwar, Wasim Akram, Mustaq Ahmed, Atta ur Rehman & Salim Malik were involved in the match fixing. Mohammd Amir was introduced by Wasim Akram. Kamran Akmal, Malik, But always got unfair support from Inzi. I think Yawar Saeed is a key (God father) of this game. They put Younis Khan against the wall because of his honesty. They had done same with rashid Latif in the past. Bring Rashid Latif as a coach, Younis Khan as a captain and Majid Khan as PCB chairman. Please remeber per Sarfraz Nawaz and Qasim Omar Imran Khan also done match fixing in sharja. Please do not bring him. Pakistn did not win WC because of him, it was an extra ordinary performance by Javed Miadad who scored over 50 runs in each of all matches Pakistan won. Pakistan did not win any match when Miandad scored less than 50 runs. Imran Khan was also a Captain when Pakistan lost wc semi final in lahore. is Imran responsible for lost???

  18. K M Esmailji says:

For Pakistan cricket team and for that matter for cricket fans all over the world, it is not surprising to read about the corruption allegations emanating from the recent match at Lords. The disgraceful exhibition put up by Pakistan time and again on the world cricket stage is a reflection of their dismal attitude towards the game. We miss greats like Kardar, Hanif, Fazal and their colleagues who put Pakistan on the highest pedestal of fame respected by the whole world. The characteristic fabric of the whole country is polluted. You cant expect anything better from these “Lilliputian” cricketers. It will take no less than another Mohamedali Jinnah to rescue this country.

  19. muzaffar says:

why yawar saeed is there whenever such things happen he is in the team managenment,it is he who creates such an environment that wastes the talent like mohammad amir, please leave this guy he has bright future yawar bookie ,its shameful on the part of kamran ,asif & salman let them give the imprionment of 5 years & life time ban if these allegations are proved , i hope that atleast the talent of 17 year old amir is not wasted he is young let him because its the yawar bookies environment that causes him so.

  20. hamza khan says:

what patience are we being asked for?! there is a video for Gods sake of the bookie showing the money to our players? this is what our players do with the trust the nation puts in them. shameful. i’m very saddened by the fact that these players have chosen themselves over their countries. pakistan cricket is doomed. thanks to these boys from lahore…

  21. Imran Qasim says:

    Dear All,

    Stop blaming you.

Nothing has proved that our great Pakistani team was involved in this fixing dirty issue.

Until it is proved, We can no t say anything and we must not say. Come on resect yourself. We are not corrupt nation.

There might be someone involved in the fixing but out of Pak Team.

Western Media is always doing like this. They create drama for nothing and show big stories about Pakistan and when things proves wrong they never show that.

Remember Broad threw ball on Zulkarnain in the test match (Anything Happened? ) .

IPL was full of fraud and match fixing (that means every single match of IPL was drama. Anything Happened? )

So Respect yourself. Our team is innocent until proved involved in this match fixing.

    PAKISTAN ZINDABAD.

    WHATEVER, WE LOVE PAKISTAN…

    LOVE TO ALL

    IMRAN

  22. Riz Atlanta GA says:

Let’s not jump to the conclusion! allegation are yet to be proven. Aamir and Asif are the only talented cricketers left in Pakistani camp, lets hope and pray they will not end their career like that. We should defend our players in this crisis, we as a nation are so impulsive jump to conclusions very fast. This need to be changed now! All international media will try their best to get them out of the game. If some one need to be penalized its Ejazz Butt for providing this hall of shame to us! He not only be fired but also be penalized in court for not picking up the talented players from the whole country.

I wish Aamir and Asif both get out of this crisis!

  23. Khalid Arif Siddiqui says:

I some how feel that Kamran Akmal is the guy who may be involved and I had this doubt about him for a long time now. What the Govt should do now is the have a check up of Zulqarnain’s finger to ascertain if it was actually fractured. My sixth sence says that it was not and that he was sent back only to induct Kamran back in the team. Butt could have been influenced by him because he is Akmal’s pall. I dont think Amir and Asif are involved, but Kamran I am sure that he has been and for a long time now.

  24. Zahid Islam says:

The situation will never improve as long as greedy players like Kamran Akmal, Mohammed Asif, and their ilk are re-selected again and again despite being exposed both on and off the field. From the last ten years or so, we are also getting rustics on the national team who have very little formal education.

  25. shariq says:

i think we have to wait for the result, we donot have to imposed the right and wrong on pakistani team. let the investigation be done.

    • Rais Ahmed says:

keep fooling yourself or better even come up with a conspiracy theory to defend the Pakistani team.

    • Zaffar says:

There is nothing to wait about. Everything is clear on video. The players have hugely disappointed their fans. They do not deserve to represent the country or play any first class cricket. They get paid reasonably good,. This is all greed.
