  1. Nasir says:

Jinnahs broadcast to the people of the United States of America on Pakistan, recorded in February,
1948, i.e. in his capacity as Governor General of Pakistan, makes it quite clear what the purpose of the country was.

The Constitution of Pakistan has yet to be framed by the Pakistan Constituent
Assembly. I do not know what the ultimate shape of this constitution is going to be,
but I am sure that it will be of a democratic type, embodying the essential principles
of Islam. Today, they are as applicable in actual life as they were 1,300 years ago.
Islam and its idealism have taught us democracy. It has taught equality of man,
justice and fairplay to everybody. We are the inheritors of these glorious traditions
and are fully alive to our responsibilities and obligations as framer of future
constitution of Pakistan. In any case, Pakistan is not going to be a theocratic State to
be ruled by priests with a divine mission.

  2. Baldev Chawla says:

A time has come for the entire humanity more particularly Pakistan to emphasize on the dignity of it’s citizens than to shape it’s population on the dictates and fatwas of the clergy or spending time on endless motivated discussions of the verses of age old scriptures. Those were the middle ages few blesses individuals said some good things and laid down certain norms for their blind or terrorizes followers. These sayings do not necessarily hold good in the changed times except for their use by vested interests. Pakistan must move forward in the modern world and revisit it’s constitution and the islamic laws or the posterity shall never forgive them for lopsided Puritan approach that is indeed responsible for the sordid situation they are in.

  3. There is no need to revisit Pakistan resolution only a dedicated, committed and courageous leader is needed for Pakistan .

  4. akhan says:

There is no need to revisit Pakistan resolution or Constitution. Every Pakistani from top level to lowest level should strictly follow these two documents and all laws of the country. There should be no exemption for anyone. What is the use of writing beautiful things on paper and not to follow. Akhan, 75 years, retired, Canada.

  5. Quratulain says:

I think there is no need to redraft the Pakistan Resolution. First of all we have to forget this sectarianism and religious extremism. Have to focus on education, health and justice. We have to follow all the Islamic laws because we get Pakistan by keeping in view our religion (ISLAM). Apart from all this, it’s very difficult to consider all the points on which we have to focus to save our country from the present situation but still we can try to do something to make this a reputable and Islamic country.

In short have to focus to make it an “ISLAMIC COUNTRY”

  6. Shaikh azam says:

I love Pakistan and I proud to be a pakistani ,I believe that unjusticeness is a prominent problem in Pakistan and this is the only issue which has been categorized in different kind of visions and no one can deny from it logically, eliminating this intolerance issue can create a auspicious environment in Pakistan in all of its aspects. For example if you do not give justice to a anyone so he/she’ll try to get his/her justice by any mean and it could be illegal because he/she has failed to get his/her rite ,so then the problems starting and making knots in a rope of our administration. So propogating this ideology would be better resolutive action for Pakistan on 23rd March 2012.
    thanks

For prosperity of nation we need a such Pakistan which was envisioned by Qaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. You may belong to any religion, and will be provided with complete autonomy of practicing it.”

I don’t think there a need of re-drafting the resolution , just ampliment that and all will see the result .
The things we must have to do don’t relate drafts these should be practicle , we should have a personal resolution of

  13. Latif Khan says:

The Pakistan Resolution was an excellent instrument for the creation of Pakistan but it fell short of vision to run the country. They knew Islam was a binding religion which would keep us together but we failed badly. We lost our beloved leader soon after the creation of Pakistan. He had a vision and road map which were not followed by our new leaders and we have ended up here where we are today.

Pakistan needs a national consensus on statehood rather than a debate on the viability of its creation by analysing the Pakistan Resolution.
    1. Elimination of religious discriminatory laws in the constitution( Eliminate “muslim requirement” for governance in the 1973 constitution . The right to declare a believer or non believer shall not be exercised by the state though it may create an enabling environment for the understanding and implementation of religion.)
    2. Revisit Pakistan’s foreign policy towards the USA adopted in mid 1980’s.
    3. Stringent rules for political aspirants and serving Ministers. No foreign holdings e.g bank accounts, fixed assets abroad to be eligible for elections.

It’s time to stand up again for Pakistan.

  19. Muhammad Afzal says:

I don’t think so that there is any amendment need in the previous Resolution of Pakistan. If we should apply the Resolution practically we will become a great country but if we just made new and new Resolution than it is no solution of problems.
    Muhammad AFzal 21 B.Com Rawalpindi

  20. Afzal khan says:

More provincial autonomy has to be given to provinces.Political science subject to be taught from 6th class in order to make the young lot aware about the fruits of democracy. The ordinary madrassa clerics to be stopped from disbursing fatwas. The task of fatwa is to be given to islamic ideology council or any central body may be set up.Federal constitutional court is the need of time in order to solve the issues between provinces and federal govt: rather referring to supreme court.More constitutional amendments are needed in constitution of pakistan regarding Executive,Judiciay,Army.New foreign policy is also need of the hour.Hence then we can make pakistan a prosperous and true democratic country.
    Afzal Khan 30, Goverment servant,Quetta.

  21. Syed Amaar Ahmad says:

The Pakistan Resolution does not need to be redrafted. That’s history. What badly needs to be redrafted is the Pakistan Constitution. Quaid-e-Azam’s August 11, 1947 speech should be the Preamble of the new Constitution and the Constitution should be redrafted according to letter and spirit of this historic speech.

  22. Taimur Bandey says:

” A Secular Pakistan where the state has nothing to do with religion. ”

Corruption is a huge issue but for me religious intolerance is a bigger and less accepted issue that is spreading like cancer across educated and uneducated Pakistanis.”

    Taimur Bandey, 38, Professor, Lahore

  23. Dubaakoru says:

I believe, redraft of the PAKISTANI CONSTITUTION (from A-Z) is the need of the hour to address the current problems. Need reforms from the grass root levels. Army and Religious institutions must be kept at the arm length.

Immunity to the president is the main reason for the crisis at this point of time. Keeping in mind the seriousness of the crime, the immunity must be kept aside and there must be a provision in the constitution to prosecute the president too in the case of strong evidence available against him. So what if he manages to stay at the helm for 10 or 15 more years…???? Shall the JUDICIARY wait till his term ends…????

Such flaws and LOOP HOLES must be rectified and need a provision to prosecute the accused if the actionable evidence is with the judiciary.

  24. Aimal says:

i think that it is need of the hour to have a decentralized system of government, to grant a reasonable and equal amount of autonomy to all the provinces, to get rid of provincialism, to secure the interests of the minorities and the most important to get, a judiciary, a parliament, an executive and other organs of the state and government free, from the influence of the secret agencies.
    Aimal, 17, student, Quetta.

  25. naveed mahmood says:

Simple guide line is to follow Islamic social, judicial & economic system the only way forward. More over we should have presidential form of government and no democratic form. Only two parties should be there and all political & religious parties should be banned. Unity, discipline & faith guidelines given by Quaid should be adapted and each one of us should be true & loyal to Pakistan its time that we should promise ourselves to work for our great country. Love Pakistan.
