Predict the unpredictable

Cricket pundits never imagined that Pakistan would overcome the formidable Kiwis and South Africans and make it all the way to the T20 finals. Since the experts keep getting it wrong, we thought we’d allow you take a shot at guessing what will happen in tonight’s match.

If Pakistan wins the toss, should they bat or field? What will be the target? Is Malinga going to sling us off the field or will Gul beguile the Lankans? And will Afridi be able to maintain his stellar run and keep his eyes open as he bats? Share your predictions with us.

    If Pakistan win the toss they’ll bat first. Their bowling is their strength and they’ll play to that. I think Sri Lanka might also want to bowl second on the same account.

    Bat first or second Pakistan need good starts to both the innings. As YK rightly pointed out after the super eights match against the same opposition that our starts let us down and then come backs, reducing them to 150 and then a 50+ partnership with Misbah, weren’t enough to seal the match. Be positive but don’t give runs cheaply in the first six or loose wickets to Mathews or Udana. Play Malinga as straight as possible, with his change of pace and full deliveries its virtually impossible to play him square. Having said that I think the Pakistanis play Murli and Mendis better than any other team and that is where I think is the key.

    if pakistan win the toss they should bat . target should be 150 plus.lankans have a strong bowling side so their target will be our stumps.our team desperately need good partnership in bating n some shots 4m afridi.

    Pak 165/6
    Sri 139 all out.

    If Srilanka bats first

    Sri 150/6
    Pak Need to see the match for that :)
