Osama Bin Laden had become a house hold name post 9/11. He will also probably go down in history as the most popular “Most Wanted” personality of all times. Now that the tall and lanky, 60 something man carrying around a kidney dialysis machine in his old age is dead, will the World become a safer place?
Irrespective of who you are and where you’re from, this man has probably impacted your life in both subtle and obvious ways. The acts of this man and his followers have put Muslims around the World and especially in Pakistan, in a very precarious situation. There is no doubt about the fact that the death of Osama Bin Laden marks a significant achievement for the “War against terror”. However, the manner in which Osama has been killed and the place where he was finally discovered raises many awkward questions for Pakistan.
As long as Osama Bin Laden has been in the news, you’ve heard different stories about him, his motives, his sinister plans and what not. What are your thoughts on Osama bin Laden, his life, his death and the likely aftermath of all the events that have taken place leading up to his death. Has justice been delivered or has the World paid too heavy a price for the “Most Wanted” man of all times?
The government and the ISI must answer. How do you expect people to believe that you did not know about his whereabouts?
The worst part is, if its an operation on our soil then it should have been led by Pak Army and may be that would have been a case on ground but our impotent leadership can never assert any influence on the media that its we who did it. This will have ramifications if you just consider that US troops led this operation. The question is why? are we not sovereign any more? If with this big an army we cannot operate within our own bounds, what use is this army? Isnt it a surgical strike?
USA knew if they told this to ISI no one will found OSAMA>
Feel very happy for your right frustration!
First of all stop supporting terrorism.
Do not try to convince the world that killing innocents has some logical reason. There can not be any route cause reason for killing innocent people……
Are you kidding me! Bin Laden was given sanctuary in Pakistan by the ISI & Pakistan army. Why would they conduct the operations themselves! Again, if a foreign agency like the CIA can find this out, do you tink Pakistan would not have known about it?
before inviting everyone to post their comments why dont you ask the Pak establishment for their comments? its almost more than 8 hrs since this news broke and the Pak establishment is still silent. what’re we to make of it? its all the more intriguing as he has been killed just 2 hrs outside Pakistan’s capital where as for years pak establishment has been denying his presence on Pak soil.. i’m sure they’re busy preparing a spin to extricate themselves out of this “inextricatable” situation.. then we will post our opinions
i’cant bileave that.
The Pakistani government has alot of explaining to do.
Thank God he is dead and congratulations to the whole world.
Osama is dead but it is hard to defeat symbols, but one thing the Americans have made it clear and it is commendable, you mess with us we will not forgive you, well done.
A symbolic victory that will offer a lot of people around the world some closure, especially the Americans.
It is unforunate, besides the fact that no one else has yet left a comment, that Osama was killed on Pakistani soil and Pakistan will be in the lime light for all the wrong reasons.
He was found hundred yards from the military academy, what a shame.
I wish Pakistan the best and hope the Pakistani government, military and people can crack down extremist elements, inlcuding thinking, from my beloved Pakistan.
Note to editor: Please kindly do not amend thanks, I strongly believe in the freedom of speech.
This news would probably cause Pakistan a lot of discomfort since he was discovered living right under the noses of Pakistan’s “famed” military/ ISI. How much more lying from pakistan the world has to endure? For years Pakistan’s leadership and all and sundry jumped out of line to deny his existence on pakistani soil. Good going America.
Pakistan should not realize that it can no longer harbour terrorists! I request all Pakistanis to force their government and military establishments to shun the policy of using terrorism against India or the west. Sit accross the table and resolve Kashmir. Then focus only on development. Pakistanis need food, shelter, clothes and not guns!
you are right but you must know there are more poors sleeping on footpaths, un flyovers in India I have seen personally) then Pakistan, what is reason of that? Are Indians also help terrorism somewhere? May be in Balochistan?
Hello ! India earns its own bread and butter and never begs for annual $5 Billion “Zakat” from the USA to survive!! Poor are in all countries, even America where they sleep on roads. But the point is does their entire country BEG from another country? NO! As far as I know, Pakistan is the only country in the world which cannot survive if US aid is withdrawn completely.Statistics prove it. In fact, as a country, I think Pakistan can start selling plots of land to China and India slowly and eventually vanish. That’s the best option for it now.
Probably they sleep well without the fear of being blown up by some bigot.
I think he was dead long time ago so all this is really rubbish. the problem that pakistan will have now need strategic handling.
One thing i never understood, Osama was an Arab and I think US should start working with Saudi Arabia to figure out other terrorists rising from their land.
i mean the thought that he died a long ago
I hope the war ends now and we can all live in peace.
But I think its the beginning of a new war.
True. I believe that it SHOULD be the beginning of a new war, until No 2s and No 3s…. of Al Qaeda are eliminated.
He was the world’s biggest terrorist…He is dead…Thats the time for celebration. He died like a dog and he deserved that.
Its not at all surprising that Osama was found deep inside Pakistan in the neighbourhood of retired military generals. Pakistan has always harboured and encouraged terrorists and the results of which are there for everybody to see. I guess it is only one of the very few countries in the world which treats terrorists as state guests!!! Until and unless the attitude of the Pakistani establishment changes the country will continue spiralling down the abyss…. A third country conducting an operation deep inside a so called sovereign country’s territory doesnt speak much about the soverignity of the said country!! Though the dreaded terrorist is finally killed there is no time to rejoice, one needs to be extra vigilant because Pakistan has the ability and resources to create many more Bin Ladens, Hafiz Saeeds, Dawood Ibrahims and their ilk… All one can do is pray and hope that the terrorists churning factories are obliterated. Distant dream I know but there is no harm in dreaming!!!!!!
You are telling many truths which are hard to digest. Noone will listen to you.
Great news and good ridden. He made Pakistan a hated country and Pakistanis a hated people all over the World. It is now Pakistan’s chance to repair the damage done by him.
It is strange that all along he was living 40 miles from Islamabad and no one (authorities) knew about it! He had a twisted mentality which did not do any good to Islam. His followers martyred more than 4000 Pakistanis over the years therefore his death death should be considered a good omen for Pakistan.
Good riddance of bad evil!
What a shame that Bin Laden was caught in Abbotabad near our capital Islamabad, Did the Pak goverment protect him all along, the world needs answers. ITS A SHAME TO QUAID -E -AZAM-MUHAMMAD ALI JINNAH’S PAKISTAN THAT THIS IS HAPPENING.
Likes… Super Likes..
good bro pak need people u.
Can any one tell honestly which Ism is better? Ism are born out of ideologies hence justified by its preachers… violence have undermined the objectives of radicalism hence termed as ” terrorism” Each Ism have an objective and purpose which is equally opposed and supported by the masses. I for one unable to conclude which one is better over the other as there are beneficiaries to different ism.. To tell you the truth, Common man gets influenced by the talks and his thoughts gets influenced hence it lacks rational thinking.. World is a better place only if it is without boundaries, poverty, corruption and Ism.s
One ISM is better than the rest. That’s the atheism. Or maybe not.
If only he could be killed earlier, several innocent people would be alive today. Living right under the noses of pakistani military — a few hundred meters from their academy — was possibly the safest place for him. Who in the world will believe that ISI was unaware of this.
I just heard Donald trump wants a full form death certificate of Osama bin Laden.
Donald Trump apart from his funny hair do is also a national Joker… Pls ignore him.
No comments – says it all about where Pakistan is at the present?
Great news for all those peace loving humans. This puts pakistan in a spot as t0o how to explain Osama’s presence just next to their military hub centre.
This is another game played by CIA against Pakistan. CIA played a vital card to surrender Pakistan ISI. As Pakistan ISI and Govt has clarified to US and CIA that “No More’, so they wants to declair Pakistan as a terrorist state by killing Osama bin Laden. No doubt, Osama has destroyed pakistan and the muslem world. They are killing the people in the name of Islam. My Area (KPK) spacially Kohat and Hangu area is highly afftected by Millitant activities. Al Qaida attached my village in 1998 when there was no name of Al Qaida in Pakistan, but we heard it from Millitant who attacked our village and destroyed the whole village. Its good that Osama is killed but actually the source of Osama and his support should be destroyed and finished.
what is there to say? we need an explanation from pakistan. how come he can stay so close to islamabad, that too in a garrison town? you expect us to believe that he was not being helped by your government?
He is dead..now the American &Indian Media will nearly devour our minds speculating that the Pakisitani ISI had full knowledge about Usama’s whereabouts.
You are so right… we already are speculating. House with 12-16 feets tall walls and barb wire, atleast 8 times bigger than any other house in the neighborhood and most of all in the garrison town. What should we think???
But Can you answer what he was doing there under the nose of your army and Govt. living in a mansion??
Bin Laden is just a symbol, his absence is not significant, but the credibility of Pakistan is at stake.
We have a saying that “It is better to have a wise enemy than a fool as friend”. Pakistan’s army and ISI is that foolish friend(or patriot). It has done more harm to Pakistan than India could. Army and ISI has put the credibility of Pakistan at stake.
Too much lies from America cannot make any difference, Every person on this World knows it.
another delusional paki
Abdullah – Bin Laden is dead – He wanted his virgins.
What about the statement from Pakistan. Are they also lying ?

they are the puppets, remember Raimond Davis?
There is no cure for the sickness you have in your head.
