Of course my hearts says and prays for Pakistan but my brain does not go with my heart.
My brain indicates Sri Lanka is a better team on any given day, hence they will win. Pakistan’s only chance if they bat first and score 165 plus, otherwise i would put my money on Sri Lanka.
And yes, I will write again on this blog after the match to prove my brain is guessing just the right outcome.

Take it from me, SRI Lanka will WIN hands down. By any stretch it has got a far superior team with immensely talented players of sound temperament and steely grit. Pakistan is a ok team, but has not got that extra special to bear a team like SL.

Pakistan ought to bat first. If they do. They need over 165 to feel a bit safe and allow for one or two disastrous overs. But I guess if they ball and field faultlessly 150 might be good enough too.
If the Lankans bat first Dilshan’s wicket just has to be taken as soon as possible. Maybe young Amir can dispose of him with his pace or perhaps Razzaq’s experience will cause Dilshan’s downfall. Either way, if he stays 10 overs in his usual batting style Pakistan might find themselves in a pretty deep hole!
Malinga can be handled provided our batsmen dont start going hell for leather from his very first ball. Maybe its just my biased opinion but I still think Gul would beat Malinga in bowling.
Dont think Afridi’s batting will fire in the same way as the semi-final. Its just so difficult to imagine Afridi playing two back to back sane batting innings haha. But if sanity does prevail and he gets a good 7-10 overs to bat Pakistan will be in with a real chance.

Well, cricket pundits only go by the numbers. They cannot analyze the strength within, the burning desire. Pakistan’s players are doing it for their country & countrymen. The country is going thru very tough times. I’m sure this win will give Pakistanis something to look up to especially in these times of turmoil. Whether Pakistan bats first or second, they can make a good total or chase a good total if Younas Khan quits his stupidity which he couldnt in the semi final.
Younas Khan is neither a good captain nor a good player for T20. He should be dropped.

I guess Pakistan will win the toss and decide to bat first, 175 runs target would be quite better to win the tournament but everyone must feel responsibility, after all this is yet another big match and the whole nation wants Pakistan team must accomplish the task. This trophy will surely bring dignity, respect and happiness for the whole nation.
Afiridi, Younus and Umer Gul are again expected to play leading role for this.

Malinga will go for some runs..Afridi will not be able to bat as well as he did in semi-final..They shud bat 1st and if they do the total would be around 150..
At the expense of sounding like a wanabe gyani, I suspect that everything in this world happens for a reason. A reason, which is beyond all of us mortals. Having said that, there could not have been two other countries (besides Pakistan and Siri Lanka)which really needed to be in the final.
In recent times, both Pakistanis and Siri Lankans have endured an extreemly rough period in their history as Nations. A few months back both the teams were directly impacted by acts of terrorism during the course of a game. And the fact that both of them are in the final of World Cup can not merely be coincidence… an act of Allah, Bhagwan, God, Waheguru or shall we just say Allmighty. Regardless of who wins, this is already a victory for all true god fearing and good people of the world and a defeat for all that is evil.
I will be surprised if Pakistan does not win this game.
